Holiday Linzer Cookie Recipe
If hours baking in the kitchen doesn’t fit with your schedule this season, but you still want to make something special to take to an event or gift to a friend, these Holiday Linzer Cookies are perfect! With just three ingredients you can whip up a dozen after work one evening while watch your Christmas movie or on an early Saturday morning before you head out to shop.
Instructions:
Ingredients
- 1 box Sugar Cookie Mix or Refrigerator Dough
- 1/4 cup Holiday Jam
- Confectioner’s sugar
- Make cookie dough according to box instructions. Roll dough out to 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut cookies into desired shapes.
- Bake according to box instructions. Allow to cool on rack.
- Spread jam on the top of half of the cookies. If the jam is too thick it can be heated on the stove top or in a microwave until smooth.
- Gently place the cookie without jam on top of the cookie with jam on it. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar.
Makes 1/2 the number of servings on your cookie dough package ie a dozen will make 6 cookies because you use 2 cookies per Linzer.
